We wanted to do something a bit different and bring you along for the ride on our road trip out to the 2015 Cruise To The Pines show thrown by the Perfect Poise crew. So before you read on, make sure to check out the VIDEO above (watch in 1080p) and ride shotgun on our journey from So Cal to Phoenix and then on into Prescott. This show is such a refreshing and unique event that really sets the tone for the camaraderie and togetherness that all shows should strive for! The weekend events were kicked off with a little get-together in Phoenix on Friday night; a casual gathering of friends, car clubs, and show goes from all over, with visitors flying in from as far as Japan this year and driving in from as far as New Mexico with more than 13 different states in attendance.

Saturday morning the cruise assembled at the local Movie Theater parking lot where show entrants and participants all met up for the huge cruise from Phoenix, Arizona all the way through the mountains to end at the show location in the beautiful hills of Prescott, Arizona. This really makes for a unique event as you get to road trip through the mountains with some of the west’s finest rides and some customs drove in from as far as Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and more. With a couple stops along the way for photo ops, this made for a killer trip to capture some great footage – especially since most of the time you just see a ride parked at the show and have to really use your imagination to picture them in full rolling form. We’re always up for a good cruise and seeing custom cars and trucks out in their true element – the wide open road!

Come showtime on Saturday afternoon and the rows and rows of customs piled into quaint “downtown” Prescott, where even some of the streets were shut down so that show vehicles could park and spectators could walk the streets and enjoy the sights. The show is completely free to the public and open to spectators and locals alike. With vendors, food, one of the best show raffles around, and a Sonic on-site – there is plenty for the whole family, and public restrooms were a small victory as well. If you show up with your club the Perfect Poise crew does their best to try and get you all parked together, and lined up as fast as possible without interrupting the flow of roll-in. As this show is held in a single afternoon the crew definitely has their work cut out for them to get everyone parked, judged, pick raffle winners, and present awards – but they always knock it out of the park.

Speaking of awards, CTTP has become notorious for their skateboard deck trophies, where they have various artists and fabricators from all over create truly one-of-a-kind “Best Of” awards for show entrants. Some of the most anticipated trophies of the year, and ones you’ll definitely want to hang on to and display. It was cool to see our buds from Japan win the “Long Distance” board and plenty of great rides went home with some new hardware – including Kimery Sucks who won “Best of Show” with his killer Nissan Hardbody all the way from Colorado and Adam Madrigal with his bight blue Dodge Magnum and ‘bagged trailer combo for having the most unique combo and earning our Slam’d Mag choice board. With awards wrapped up it was off to the infamous after party – work hard, play hard! CTTP has been steadily growing for the past few years now, and 2015 was definitely the tipping point to help make it more than just a “locals” event. We’re sure this show will double in size over the next couple years and we’re glad to see all of the support to help keep custom automotive events booming, mark your calendars for 2016 and we’ll see you there!
