There are definitely pros and cons to living anywhere in the states, but for the West Coast the pros far out weigh the cons especially when you consider sunshine and car shows year round on top of that “pro” list. Every year we are fortunate to have a jam packed schedule of automotive events up and down the coast, but there are always a few stand-out shows that we really enjoy attending. This year Slam’d Mag posted up big at the Relaxin’ In So Cal (RISC) show to check out the rides on hand and show off a few of our own for the crowds in attendance.

Relaxin’ in So Cal is held annually at Alpine Headquarters in Torrance, California and is host to one of the largest one-day custom shows in the West. The truly great thing about this show is the eclectic mix of rides that come out and show side-by-side. Everything from full on street rods and custom hot rods to Slam’d trucks, Euros, lowriders, and even some lifted rides in attendance. Playing host to so many different genres makes for a great mix of rides and people and with no spectator entrance fee, crowds come in droves to check out all the show has to offer.
A day of hanging with friends and family, this show definitely has that laid back “relaxed” feel with a fun and family friendly environment for all to enjoy. With plenty of food, automotive vendors slangin’ all of the latest and greatest, and the city streets of Torrance chock full of some of the baddest rides this side of the Mississippi, we have added RISC to our must attend list as it continues to bring out the big guns. Hosted by a great group of family and friends, you can really tell all of the hard work and planning that is put into helping this event run so smooth. With hotels within walking distance, plenty of “out-of-towners” make the trek with their custom rides to co-mingle with fellow auto lovers of all kinds.
